I rise with light upon my face,
Each morning’s gift, a soft embrace.
The scent of earth, the song of air,
A thousand wonders everywhere.
The laughter spilled from children’s games,
The fireflies dancing without names,
The whisper of the ocean’s tide—
In all of this, my heart resides.
A flower blooming in the dust,
A stranger’s smile, a sacred trust.
Even the tears that sometimes fall
Remind me I have felt it all.
The heartbeat of the world is mine,
In every tree, in every sign.
This fleeting breath, this sacred chance,
To live, to cry, to dream, to dance.
I do not seek a grander prize—
For life itself is rich and wise.
And through its highs and through its strife,
I live it all, in love with life.
Thank-you for reading.
Much love and Light,
Brenda Marie Fluharty
