Poem: Claiming Your Power

No need for crowns or thunder’s roar,
Your strength begins at your soul’s core.
Not born of conquest, pride, or fight—
But found in stillness, sparked by light.

It waits where silence meets your name,
Beyond the doubt, beneath the shame.
A voice once hushed by fear or rule
Now learns to speak, no longer fooled.

You are the flame, not just the spark,
The dawn that carves its way through dark.
Each boundary drawn, each “no” you say,
Becomes a torch to light your way.

You’ve bent too long to winds not yours,
Held tight to keys for others’ doors.
But now you rise, both fierce and clear—
A soul unmasked, with nothing to fear.

This power isn’t loud or wild,
It’s every truth you told as a child,
Each time you choose to stand, to stay—
To walk your path, your sacred way.

So claim it not with sword or shield,
But with the love you’ve yet to yield.
The world will shift when you allow
The whole of you to stand—right now.

Thank-you for reading.

Much love and Light,

Brenda Marie Fluharty

  1. This poem is a powerful anthem of inner strength Brenda !! quiet yet unshakable, tender yet fierce. It reminds us that true power isn’t in force or dominance, but in the courage to honor our own voice, boundaries, and truth. A beautiful call to rise into our authentic selves. ✨💛
