Poem: Time Well Spent

Is this time well spent, you ask aloud,
As thoughts drift quiet through a restless cloud.
Each moment flickers—soft, unseen,
A candle’s flame where we have been.

Is time well spent in silent thought,
In chasing dreams, the world forgot?
In lines we craft, in words we bend—
Can stillness be our truest friend?

A second’s worth is hard to weigh,
But sometimes worth is in the way
We choose to pause, to feel, to see—
To speak in verse, or simply be.

So if this poem gives you space
To breathe, to wonder, to embrace—
Then yes, this time has found its place.

Thank-you for reading.

Much love and Light,

Brenda Marie Fluharty

  1. This is a beautiful and contemplative poem that gently explores the value of time spent in reflection, creativity, and stillness. The rhythm and imagery—like the “candle’s flame” and the quiet moments “unseen”—evoke a sense of fleeting yet meaningful presence. Great poem Brenda 🤝🌷
