Poem: Boundaries Are Important

Boundaries are lines we gently draw,
Not walls of stone, but roots of law.
They tell the world where we begin,
Where others end, and truths live in.

They’re not unkind, they’re not a cage,
They’re quiet strength, a sacred stage.
A place where yes and no can meet,
Where peace and self-respect repeat.

To say, “I need,” or “That’s too near,”
Is not rejection—just sincere.
It’s loving me, and loving you,
In ways that keep the spirit true.

They guard our time, protect our soul,
Make broken pieces feel more whole.
Not selfish acts, but acts of grace,
That gives each heart its breathing space.

So hold your ground, and hold it dear—
Your voice is one the world must hear.
And those who care, will understand:
Your boundary is a loving hand.

Thank-you for reading.

Remember there are many paths back to God. Follow your own path,
