It’s Alright to Slow Down
It’s alright to slow down,
To breathe with the trees,
To trade the fast highway
For warm, wandering breeze.
Let the clocks keep on ticking,
Let the race pass you by—
There’s peace in the stillness,
And truth in the sky.
Not every step forward
Needs thunder or flame.
Some journeys are silent,
Yet worthy the same.
Unclench your to-do list,
Unravel your frown,
The world won’t stop spinning
If you just sit down.
A heart is still beating
When resting its song,
And you are still growing,
Though paused, not gone wrong.
So pause without guilt,
Let the noise fade away—
It’s alright to slow down,
You’re allowed not to play.
Life isn’t a ladder,
Or race to the crown.
It’s moments like this one—
It’s alright to slow down.
Thank-you for reading.
Remember there are many paths back to God.
Follow your own path,
