I walk through days both bright and gray,
Uncertain what may come my way,
Yet still I move, with steady pace—
Your unseen presence leaves its trace.
Though silence wraps the evening air,
And no one’s voice is truly there,
I feel a calm I can’t explain—
Like shelter found beneath the rain.
You’re not a shadow, not a sound,
But in the stillness, you surround.
A steady gaze I cannot see,
Yet always watching over me.
When I am lost in thought or fear,
Your quiet strength draws ever near.
No spoken words, no grand decree,
Just love that stands protectively.
Through every trial, every test,
You place a hand upon my chest.
Not to restrain, but to believe—
In what I hold, in what I grieve.
And though the world may never know
The way you helped me learn and grow,
I’ll walk this path and let it be—
With you still watching over me.
Thank-you for reading.
Remember there are many paths back to God.
Follow your own path,
Brenda Marie
