You did not come to walk the easy way,
Nor blend into the noise of everyday.
You came with fire woven in your chest,
A silent vow to serve, to heal, to bless.
Born into shadow not to be consumed,
But to bring lanterns into every room.
You feel the ache that others learn to hide,
Yet hold their sorrow gently, from inside.
Your hands may tremble, feet may lose their pace,
But still you show up—grace within your grace.
You speak in silence, work behind the scenes,
You mend the world by tending broken dreams.
You know that light is not just love and glow,
But truth that burns and tells us where to go.
It isn’t soft—it carves, it clears, it dares.
It asks for sacrifice, and soul that cares.
There are no medals, no applause or fame—
Just whispered thanks, a child’s smile, a name
You’ll never know, who changed because of you—
A heart that opened, skies that turned more blue.
Some days you’ll doubt, and wish you didn’t see
So much of what the world would rather flee.
But still you rise, and let your being shine—
A bridge between the mortal and divine.
And when your work is done, and you transcend,
You’ll find it wasn’t burden—but a friend.
For every soul you lit along the way
Will be a star to guide your own new day.
Thank-you for reading.
Remember there are many paths back to God.
Follow your own path,
