Poem: Right Now

Right now, the world is breathing slow,
and I can feel the hush between the moments—
like life is holding its breath,
waiting for something honest to arrive.

The sky’s not asking for answers,
just a glance upward,
just a pause
long enough to feel small
and infinite at once.

There’s a pulse in the quiet
that reminds me I’m still here—
not for the noise,
not for the race,
but for this—

the warm sip of coffee at 2am,
the friend who says “I get it,” and means it,
the ache that tells you you cared,
the scar that proves you lived through it.

Not every wound needs a bandage.
Some just need time.
Some just need a voice
to say you’re not alone.

So here I am—
heart unclenched,
writing not to be wise,
but to be real.

And if you’re out there,
wondering if anyone sees you:
I do.
Right now, I do.

Thank-you for reading.

Remember there are many paths back to God.

Follow your own path,

Brenda Marie
