Poem: The Eyes Behind the Eyes

To see is more than light and shape,
More than the edges minds escape—
It is to pause where others pass,
And find the truth behind the glass.

Insight is not a louder voice,
Nor wisdom worn as badge or choice.
It is the hush between the lines,
The thread that runs through grand designs.

It hears the ache behind a smile,
The silence stretched across a mile.
It feels the weight of words unsaid,
And reads the soul where pain has bled.

It questions not to tear apart,
But listens with a softer heart.
It watches clouds, yet knows the sky,
And lets the moment teach it why.

No need to shout, no need to prove—
Insight will gently shape and move.
Like roots that twist beneath the tree,
It holds what others fail to see.

So let me seek with open mind,
To leave my certainty behind.
For knowing comes when we let go—
And see what only stillness shows.

Thank-you for reading.

Remember there are many paths back to God.

Follow your own path,

Brenda Marie

  1. This is a stunningly crafted meditation on true perception. This is more than a poem; it’s a quiet manifesto for deeper seeing and understanding. It captures the humility, empathy, and patient attention required for genuine insight with remarkable clarity and grace. The craftsmanship in both language and concept is exceptional. A truly insightful piece about insight itself.wonderful poem Brenda 🌷🤝
