I woke today with breath in my chest,
A quiet heart, a moment to rest.
The sun rose up, the sky turned blue—
And that alone is more than due.
The coffee warm, the floor beneath,
A peaceful hush between each breath.
Not perfect days, but days that stay,
And hold me gently on my way.
The hands that help, the friends who call,
The strength to rise after I fall.
The little things that go unseen—
A kindly glance, a patch of green.
I’ve learned to count the gifts, not lack,
To see the beauty looking back.
In every scar, in every trial,
I find a reason still to smile.
No need for grand, no need for more,
I have enough to thank life for.
So here I stand, in calm or strife—
Grateful, simply, to live this life.
