In morning light and evening shade,
In whispered wind or thunder made,
There lies a truth both deep and wide:
A heart is richest when it’s tied—
Not to gold or fleeting fame,
But thanks for life, in joy or flame.
Be grateful for the smallest thing:
The song the early robins sing,
The warmth within a worn-out coat,
A single kind and caring note.
For every hand that reached your own,
For seeds of love you’ve ever sown,
For lessons learned through tears and trial,
For laughter echoing awhile.
The bitter days will come and go,
But gratitude can make them glow—
A lantern lit within your soul,
A compass when you lose your goal.
So pause, breathe deep, and look around:
The gifts you seek are all earthbound.
Not in the grand, but in the true—
Be grateful. Life gives much to you.
Thank-you for reading.
Remember there are many paths back to God.
Follow your own path,
Brenda Marie
