Poem: Love at First Sight

The first time I saw her, oh what a sight,
A warm, soft glow in the morning light.
I was small, just a bundle of paws,
Curious eyes, no reason or cause.

She knelt down low, a smile so wide,
And I couldn’t help but run to her side.
Her fingers were soft, so gentle and kind,
I wagged my tail, heart racing, mind in a bind.

She smelled like home, like safety and sun,
Like all the good things that make life fun.
Her voice was a melody, sweet and clear,
I tilted my head, wanting her near.

When she picked me up, I felt so tall,
Her arms wrapped around me, nothing could fall.
Her laugh was a song that filled the sky,
And in that moment, I knew I would never cry.

Together we’d wander, side by side,
With every step, our hearts would glide.
She taught me love with every glance,
In her eyes, I found my dance.

I never knew a world could feel so bright,
With my human, I’d always be alright.
From that day on, my heart was free,
For in her arms, is where I’d always be.

Thank-you for reading.

Remember there are many paths back to God.

Follow your own path,

  1. This is a beautiful and tender expression of the pure, unconditional love between a dog and its human. It perfectly captures the moment of finding a soulmate and a forever home, seen through the eyes of a joyful, devoted puppy. A truly heartwarming bond.
