Poem: Find Happiness in You

When skies are grey and hearts feel low,
And time moves slow with nowhere to go,
Pause and breathe, the world stands still—
Inside your soul lies deeper will.

Not in the noise or the things you chase,
Not in the race or the fastest pace,
But in quiet thoughts and mornings new,
You’ll find the joy that lives in you.

The mirror may not always shine,
But you are light, by your design.
Each scar, each step, each tear you knew,
Has shaped the strength that carries you.

No need to wait for stars to fall,
Or someone else to make you whole—
You are the fire, the calm, the hue,
The sun will rise because of you.

So close your eyes, the world can wait,
Let doubt and fear evaporate.
Be still, be kind, be brave, be true—
And you will find your joy in you.

Thank-you for reading.

Remember there are many paths back to God.

Follow your own path,

Brenda Marie

  1. This is a beautiful and empowering poem. It reminds us that joy and strength are not external rewards to be chased, but inherent qualities to be discovered within. A truly uplifting message of self-worth and resilience.
