A world at war, a world in strife,
Longs for calm, a gentler life.
But distant dreams will not begin
Until we find our peace within.
Not in flags or grand decrees,
Not in conquest, not in pleas—
But in the stillness of the soul,
Where fractured hearts begin to whole.
A quiet breath, a softened gaze,
A heart unbound from anger’s blaze.
Forgiveness whispered, hatred stilled,
A well of love, once dry, refilled.
When minds are clear and hearts are kind,
We leave the chains of fear behind.
Each tender thought, each selfless deed,
Becomes the peace we truly need.
The wars we wage in word or fist
Are born from wounds we don’t resist.
But heal the hurt, release the pain—
And peace, like sunlight, falls like rain.
So let it start—this peace we seek—
Not in the strong, but in the meek.
The world will change, let this be true:
Peace in the world begins with you.
