Put light on the shadow, where silence has grown,
Where whispers of sorrow sit cold and alone.
Not to banish the darkness or drive it away,
But to see what it holds, and what it might say.
For shadow is not just the absence of sun—
It’s the truth that we carry, the things we outrun.
It’s the scar and the story, the hush in the hall,
The part of the self that we don’t show at all.
But light is a seeker, and light is a friend—
It bends through the cracks and it dares to descend.
It touches the edges where fear likes to hide,
And says, “Even this, you can walk through with pride.”
So put light on the shadow—not harsh, but sincere,
Like a lantern of mercy, like a voice drawing near.
You don’t need to fight it, deny it, or flee—
Just let it be seen, and it may set you free.
