You are never lost, though the path may twist,
Through forests of fog and valleys of mist.
The stars might hide, the compass may spin,
But the journey is always where you begin.
You are never gone, though shadows may fall,
Though silence may answer your every call.
Each breath you take, each step you choose,
Marks a direction you cannot lose.
The road is not straight, nor carved in stone,
It bends with your heart, moves when you’re alone.
But even in stillness, even in doubt,
There’s a light within you that won’t burn out.
You are not the map, or the miles behind,
You are the seeker, the spark, the mind.
And every wrong turn, and every delay,
Is simply a thread in the wider way.
So rest if you must, when the night feels long,
But know that the wind still sings your song.
You are never lost — not really, not quite —
For you carry the dawn, and you carry the light.
Thank-you for reading.
Remember there are many paths back to God.
Follow your own path,

This is a powerful reassurance that the journey itself, with all its uncertainties, is the point. The poem beautifully argues that we are not lost because we carry our own guidance system within—our resilience, our choices, and our inner light. A lovely reminder that we are always in the process of becoming.
