Poem: Happiness Is in Your Heart

You search the skies for signs of gold,
In distant dreams, in tales retold.
But treasure lies not far apart—
For happiness is in your heart.

It’s not in things that fade with time,
Nor heights you climb with every climb.
It’s in a laugh, a silent prayer,
The way the sun warms morning air.

It’s in the love you choose to give,
In gentle ways you choose to live.
A whisper kind, a selfless start—
These plant the joy within your heart.

The world may shift, the roads may bend,
Not every storm will swiftly end.
But through it all, one truth won’t part:
Happiness is in your heart.

So close your eyes and breathe it in,
Let quiet peace replace the din.
You are the light, the work of art—
And happiness lives in your heart.

Thank-you for reading.

Remember there are many paths back to God.

Follow your own path,

Brenda Marie
