Life Is Never Easy

Life is never easy—
not the dawn, nor close of day,
it bends the back and blurs the path
and rarely shows the way.

The storms will come unbidden,
the nights may stretch too long,
and all the dreams you stitched with care
might tear, though sewn so strong.

The climb is steep and silent,
the summit often far,
and those you thought would walk with you
may not know who you are.

But in the weight and winding,
in trials hard and deep,
are seeds of strength you didn’t know
were buried there to keep.

For every scar’s a story,
each tear—a thread of grace,
and though the world may bruise you,
you still stand in your place.

So carry on through shadow,
let courage be your flame—
no, life is never easy,
but live it just the same.
