Poem: Surrender to the Flow of Life

Surrender to the Flow of Life

Let go, dear heart, the grasping hand,
The need to chart and understand—
For rivers never beg the land
To shift or shape their course.

The wind does not demand the trees
To stand in rows or bend with ease;
It sings, it sighs, it comes, it flees—
And still, it has no force.

So be the leaf, the drifting tide,
The breath you take, the thoughts you bide;
Release the urge to run or hide—
Just meet what comes with grace.

The stars don’t chase, the moon won’t cling,
The flowers bloom, then leave in spring;
Yet in their silence, all things sing
Of love that holds no place.

No need to fight the storm or sky,
Or ask the endless question: “Why?”
Just live, just breathe, just laugh, just cry—
And let the current show.

For peace is not a prize to win,
But found when you let life begin
To shape you softly, deep within—
Surrender. Let it flow.

Thank-you for reading.

Remember there are many paths back to God.

Follow your own path,

Brenda Marie
