Poem: Highs and Lows of Life

Highs and Lows of Life

Life is a song of rising tides,
Of mountaintops where joy resides,
Where laughter rings like summer rain,
And hearts forget the taste of pain.

The sun breaks through with golden light,
We dance in dreams that feel so right,
Each step a thrill, each breath a flame,
The world anew, and none to blame.

But shadows fall, as shadows do,
The skies turn gray, the winds cut through.
Our hands, once full, now reach for air—
The weight of silence, hard to bear.

We stumble down from peaks so high,
And ask the night the reasons why.
The tears fall fast, unseen, unknown,
In crowds, we feel the most alone.

Yet in the lows, some truths unfold,
In shattered things, we find our gold.
The heart learns strength, the soul its song,
And time moves gently, righting wrong.

For highs and lows will come and go,
Like rivers with their ebb and flow.
And we, the voyagers of fate,
Will learn to bend, endure, create.

So hold the highs with open hands,
And face the lows with feet that stand.
For life is made of joy and strife—
The bitter, sweet mosaic of life.

Thank-you for reading.

Remember there are many paths back to God.

Follow your own path,
