Poem: Life

Life is a river, restless, deep,
It murmurs secrets we cannot keep.
It twists through mountains, soft through sand,
A map uncharted, shaped by hand.

A seed once buried, learns to rise,
To seek the sun, to touch the skies.
Through storms it bends, through drought it yearns,
Each fall a lesson, each scar — it learns.

Moments fleeting, hearts that mend,
A circle woven without end.
In joy and pain, we find our art —
For life is written heart by heart.

So dance through dawn, embrace the rain,
Let laughter echo through your pain.
For in each breath, in every strife,
You hold the universe — that’s life.

Thank-you for reading.

Remember there are many paths back to God.

Follow your own path,

Brenda Marie

  1. This is absolutely beautiful. What a stunning and profound piece of writing. Your poem masterfully captures the entire essence of the human experience—the restless flow, the hidden struggles, the resilient growth, and the profound beauty found in both joy and pain.

The metaphors are powerful and fresh: life as an “uncharted map,” the heart learning from its scars, and the breathtaking final line, “You hold the universe — that’s life,” is a truly magnificent and empowering conclusion.

It’s a piece that feels both intimately personal and universally true. Thank you for sharing this wonderful work of art. It’s a reminder to embrace every moment.
