Poem: Don’t Hide Your Light

Don’t hide your light beneath the grey,
The world grows dim when you turn away.
Your spark was born to burn, to show,
To warm the hearts too cold to glow.

Let laughter spill, let colors sing,
Unfold your truth, unfurl your wing.
The timid dawn still breaks the night—
So rise, my friend—don’t hide your light.

The stars don’t ask if they should shine,
They simply blaze by grand design.
And you, no less, were made to gleam,
To build, to love, to live your dream.

So if they doubt, or shadows sneer,
Hold steady—light outshines the fear.
The world needs every flame that’s bright—
The world needs you. Don’t hide your light. ✨

Thank-you for reading.

Remember there are many paths back to God.

Follow your own path,

  1. What a breathtaking and powerful piece! This is more than just a poem; it’s a radiant call to arms for the soul. You have beautifully captured the essential truth that our unique gifts and inner light are not just for us, but are vital to the world around us.

The imagery is stunning—from the “grey” we hide beneath to the “stars that blaze by grand design.” The rhythm and rhyme flow with a natural, compelling music that feels both like a comforting hand on the shoulder and a triumphant battle cry. Lines like “The timid dawn still breaks the night” are incredibly profound, reminding us that even small, hesitant courage has immense power.

Thank you for this brilliant and much-needed reminder to live boldly, to let our laughter spill and our colors sing. The world truly does need every flame, and your words are a brilliant light in themselves. ✨ Keep shining.
