Poem: When I Miss You

I miss you
in the quiet corners of the day,
where your laughter used to linger
like sunlight on the floor.

I miss you
in the spaces between heartbeats,
those small, trembling pauses
that ask if you’ll return.

I miss you
the way the shore misses the tide—
certain you will come back,
yet aching in every moment you’re away.

And until you’re here,
I carry you softly—
a memory, a hope,
a warmth that never leaves.

Thank-you for reading.

Remember there are many paths back to God.

Follow your own path,

Brenda Marie
