Poem: The Days Go By Too Fast

The Days Go By Too Fast

The days go by too fast, it seems,
Like drifting clouds and fading dreams.
A morning sun, a fleeting light,
Then suddenly it’s wrapped in night.

The laughter shared, the words unsaid,
The roads we walked, the tears we shed—
They slip away like grains of sand,
Too quick to hold within our hands.

We chase tomorrow, rush ahead,
While moments pass unnoticed, fled.
Yet hidden in each hurried day
Are treasures time can’t steal away.

A smile, a touch, a gentle breeze,
The rustling song among the trees.
Though clocks move on and seasons turn,
These are the things for which we yearn.

So while the days race swiftly past,
And nothing earthly seems to last,
May we pause long enough to see
The beauty in life’s brevity.

Thank-you for reading.
