A poem about the pain of one close to you. It is difficult to see someone you love in pain. Seeing someone you love in pain is one of the hardest things any human must endure.
Can’t Take the Pain!
I cannot take your pain.
Your pain shatters my soul.
I love you so much.
I cannot take seeing you this way.
I had hoped; we would be together
Until, I was old and gray.
Your pain is killing my soul.
I cannot deal with your sorrow and pain.
If, I were to walk away
This would only cause you more of the same.
I no longer know what to do.
Nothing I do seems to help you.
Only you can make your pain go away.
I wish I could show you the way.
I pray for the day
When you learn to deal with the pain.
That day will be my gain.
I have decided; I will not go away.
I will stay, stay here and pray.
I will pray for the day that
Your pain goes away.
