Flash Fiction: Merlin’s Temple
The young woman finished her heroine’s by finding her way out of the labyrinth. She was almost at death’s door when she walked through the exit of the labyrinth. A giant gold unicorn meant her. His rider was none other than Merlin himself. He dismounted the glowing creature just in time to catch the worse for wear young warrior in his arm. He lifted her gently onto the unicorn’s back and they rode off to his temple.
Merlin’s temple hid from human eyes behind a huge waterfall. Behind the waterfall, a river run. It’s just a quick journey from here, Merlin told the girl. The temple soon came into sight. And what an amazing sight it was to see. The temple was made of gold and rare gems, rubies, sapphires, and jade.
The river they were following turned into a moat around the mighty temple. Melin carried the young girl to the moat and gently put her into the water. But this was no ordinary water. It had the healing power of the God’s. When her entire body was fully submerged in the water, she was fully healed. The next thing the young girl knew, she was at home in her own bed.
