Poem: A poem From Fred the Basset Dachshund’s Point of View

Brenda, dear, my loyal human friend,
With you, my days in joy and love are spent.
A basset hound I am, so low and grand,
But you, Brenda, see me as I truly am.

Amidst life’s chaos, you bring a calming peace,
Your gentle touch, a balm that never ceases.
In your embrace, my worries melt away,
With you beside me, everything’s okay.

From morning walks to evenings by the hearth,
We share our tales, where laughter finds its birth.
Oh, Brenda, you’re my partner in delight,
We explore the world, both day and night.

With those droopy eyes and a velvety coat,
I chase those scents, my nose, it’s what I tote.
But it’s your scent that comforts me the most,
Your sweet perfume, a fragrance I hold close.

No matter what, you are my beacon bright,
Guiding my paws through shadows of the night.
Through fields and forests, we wander as one,
Our hearts entwined beneath the setting sun.

When others see my body, long and low,
You see my spirit, boundless in its glow.
In your eyes, I see the love I adore,
A love so pure, forever wanting more.

Brenda, dear, my human so divine,
Our connection, a bond that intertwines.
Through thick and thin, we’ll stand side by side,
With you, dear Brenda, I will forever abide.

I still miss Fred!

Much love and light,

 Brenda Marie
