Poem: Alone

Alone I stand, all on my own,
In a world so vast, so unknown.
No one beside, no one to hold,
Silent echoes in the fading cold.

The wind whispers softly, through the night,
As darkness descends, obscuring the light.
But I, I am strong, I won’t be swayed,
For within me lies a flame, unafraid.

I journey through the shadows deep,
Where secrets hide and sorrows sleep.
Through trials and tribulations I roam,
Searching for solace, a place called home.

Though tears may fall, and dreams may shatter,
I’ll rise above, it doesn’t matter.
For I am the captain of my own fate,
I’ll navigate these waters, never too late.

With every step, I find my way,
Through the darkest night, towards the day.
And as I stumble, and as I fall,
I’ll rise again, standing tall.

For in this solitude, I have grown,
Discovering strength I’ve never known.
And though the world may seem so cold,
I’ll face it all, all on my own.

So let the storms rage, and let the night come,
I’ll brave the battles, I’ll overcome.
For I am a warrior, fierce and brave,
And in my heart, a fire will always blaze.

Alone I stand, all on my own,
In this vast world, I have grown.
With every scar, a story to be told,
A testament of the strength that unfolds.

For I am a phoenix, rising from the ash,
A survivor, in this life so harsh.
And though the journey may be tough,
I’ll face it head-on, never enough.

Alone, but never truly alone,
For in my spirit, love is sown.
And as I face the unknown abyss,
I’ll carry the light, in a world like this.

So hear my voice, as I shout it near,
A declaration, that I hold dear.
I am the master of my own throne,
Empowered, standing all on my own.

Thank-you for reading,

Much Love and Light,

Brenda Marie
