In a world filled with silence and noise,
Words emerge as a source of poise.
They hold within them the power to heal,
To uplift, inspire, and make hearts feel.
With a single word, a smile can bloom,
Dispelling darkness and sorrow’s gloom.
They can mend the broken, bring hope to the lost,
Creating bridges where barriers were crossed.
A simple phrase can ignite a fire,
Igniting the soul with a burning desire.
They can bring forth change, turn the tides around,
Building resilience from the very ground.
But words can also be swords, sharpened with hate,
Plunging deep into the hearts, sealing their fate.
They can wound and tear, leaving scars unseen,
Affecting minds and souls, where pain has been.
Yet, with the right choice, they uplift and empower,
Encouraging dreams to reach higher and higher.
They can educate, spread knowledge and truth,
Enlightening minds in the pursuit of truth.
So let us be mindful of the words that we speak,
For they possess a power that is far from weak.
Choose them wisely, with love as our guide,
And let our words be the bridge to unity we stride.
Thank-you for reading.
Much Love and light,
Brenda Marie

Words are powerful. They can build up or they can tear down. They can encourage or discourage. They can help or they can harm. The Bible has a lot to say about words but here’s one verse: “Pleasant words are as an honeycomb, sweet to the soul, and health to the bones” (Proverbs 16:24)
I love it.
