Poem: Grateful for the Breath of Life

Grateful for the breath of life,
For each inhale and exhale,
For the rhythm of my beating heart,
For the strength to never fail.

I am thankful for the sunrise,
And the promise of a new day,
For the beauty that surrounds me,
In every little way.

Grateful for the love I feel,
From friends and family near,
For the laughter and the smiles,
That brings me so much cheer.

I am grateful for the challenges,
That pushes me to grow and learn,
For the setbacks and struggles,
That teaches me to discern.

Grateful for the moments,
Of peace and quiet bliss,
For the chance to just be still,
And feel the gentle kiss.

I am grateful for this life I lead,
For the blessings that I find,
For the chance to make a difference,
And leave my mark behind.

So I give thanks for every breath,
For each moment I’m alive,
For the gift of life I cherish,
And the chance to thrive.
