Poem: Speakers of Light

In a world where shadows dance with ease,
Where truth is tangled in webs of deceit,
To speak a word that carries light’s decree
Is to wander a path where few dare meet.

The streets are paved with glimmers of disguise,
And voices blend in symphonies of guile,
Yet, amidst the murk, a single star will rise,
And truth will carve its way through every trial.

The truth, a flame in nights of ceaseless dark,
Defies the tempest, braves the bitter gale,
It finds a way through silence, through the bark
Of crafted tales where virtue seems to fail.

To speak the truth is to stand firm and tall,
When whispers aim to smother what you know,
It’s to resist the gravity of fall,
And let the honest seed within you grow.

Though lies may wrap the world in velvet chains,
And cloak the hearts in secrets cold and tight,
The truth will shine through all the darkened panes,
A beacon blazing through the stormy night.

So let your voice be strong, your courage clear,
For in the face of falsehood’s vast array,
The truth will find its way, it will appear,
A guiding star that lights the darkest day.

Thank-you for reading much Love and light,

Brenda Marie
