In the quiet moments of the dawn’s embrace,
Where shadows yield to light’s soft grace,
There lies a truth both deep and clear—
Forgiveness is a gift we give, my dear.
The heart, it holds a fragile thread,
Woven with both love and dread,
And when it breaks, it’s swift and cold,
But healing comes when hands unfold.
For grudges, like a heavy chain,
Can bind the soul with endless pain,
And in their weight, we lose our way,
Lost in the dark, we forget the day.
So learn to release what’s old and frayed,
Let go of the hurt, the debts unpaid,
For bitterness is a stormy sea,
And peace is found where we are free.
To forgive is not to forget,
But to ease the weight of a deep regret,
It’s to offer grace where none was due,
To mend the heart and start anew.
With each act of kindness, we start to mend,
And broken hearts begin to blend,
For in forgiveness, we find our strength,
Our souls unite, and love extends.
So in the morning’s tender light,
Forgive the past and hold it tight,
Not with anger, but with peace,
And let the cycle of pain cease.
Thank-you for reading,
Much Love and light,
Brenda Marie
