Poem: Happy to be Alive

In the morning’s golden glow,
Where sunlight kisses earth so slow,
I find a spark within my soul,
A joy that makes the spirit whole.

The world’s a canvas, fresh and bright,
With colors dancing in the light.
Each breath I take, a gift divine,
In this grand life, my heart will shine.

The rustling leaves, the whispering breeze,
The way they play among the trees,
A symphony that lifts the heart,
A daily work of nature’s art.

I walk through the streets with open eyes,
Underneath the endless skies,
Each step a rhythm, pure and free,
A melody of simply being me.

The laughter shared, the love we find,
Connections deep, both gentle and kind,
These moments weave a tapestry,
A life embraced so fully.

So here’s to life, with all its grace,
A wondrous, wild, and boundless space,
I’ll treasure every fleeting day,
And let my spirit freely play.

Thank-you for reading,

Much Love and light,

Brenda Marie
