In a quiet corner of the sunlit room,
Where soft light dances and shadows bloom,
Lies a basket, humble, woven tight,
A cozy haven, a snug delight.
Within its weave of gentle grace,
A little dog finds a perfect place,
Nestled deep in fabric’s fold,
A secret spot from stories told.
The clothes within are warm and clean,
A patchwork quilt of colors serene,
With every thread, a soft embrace,
A haven built in woven lace.
The little dog curls up with care,
In the fragrant nest, so sweet, so rare,
His dreams afloat on a cotton sea,
Where snuggles form his canopy.
The world outside may whirl and race,
But in this basket, he finds his space,
A kingdom small, a throne of peace,
Where every worry finds release.
In woven strands, he feels the love,
A gentle kiss from stars above,
The clothes around him, soft and warm,
Create a shield from any storm.
So let the basket be his bed,
Where dreams are spun and softly spread,
A quiet nook for him to keep,
A little dog’s most cherished sleep.
Thank-you for reading.
Much Love and Light,
Brenda Marie
