Poem: Joy in the Winter Snow

A dog leaps free in the winter snow,
With sparkling eyes, its joy to show.
Paws leave prints in a frosted land,
Chasing flakes that melt in the hand.

A tail that wags, a heart so light,
In the crisp, cold air of pale twilight.
Bounding through drifts, so pure, so white,
A dance of warmth in the chill’s soft bite.

The wind sings songs through icy trees,
But the dog only knows the playful breeze.
Each breath a cloud in the frosty glow,
As it chases dreams in the winter snow.

Thank-you for reading.

Much Love and Light,

Brenda Marie
