Poem: Starting Over

Starting Over

The past is dust, a whispered song,
A chapter closed, though I belonged
To stories told and roads once paved,
Now left behind, my heart unchained.

I stand at dawn, a blank anew,
With skies untold and paths to view,
The weight of old doubts fades away,
As hope unfurls at break of day.

A canvas clean, no stain, no scar,
I gather dreams from near and far,
Each step I take, though small it seems,
Is grounded now in new-found dreams.

The world may ask, “Why start again?”
But in each ending lies the pen,
To write a tale that’s yet to be,
A future shaped by what’s to see.

So here I stand, no fear to bear,
With open heart, with room to spare,
For every loss, a chance to grow—
In starting over, life will flow.

Thank-you for reading.

Much Love and Light,

Brenda Marie
