In the quiet folds of twilight’s grace,
I seek a peaceful, sacred place.
Where the world’s harsh voices fade,
And all is calm, where hearts are laid.
Not in the frenzy of the fight,
But in the stillness of the night,
Where thoughts are soft, like drifting leaves,
And the soul can breathe, and finally believe.
I search within, a quiet space,
Where worries bow and find their place,
Where anger melts, and fear is still,
And hope remains, a gentle will.
Oh, peace, where do you hide?
In fleeting moments, far and wide,
In kindness shown, in silence, shared,
In love that’s given, unprepared.
I seek you, not in distant lands,
But in the touch of open hands,
In every prayer, in every sigh,
In looking up to the endless sky.
Peace, I know you’re deep inside,
In every breath, where hearts collide.
So let me find you, soft and clear,
And let your light draw ever near.
Thank-you for reading.
Much Love and Light,
Brenda Marie
