Poem: Healing the Past

Beneath the weight of broken years,
Where silence spoke and dried the tears,
I find the threads of all that’s torn,
And stitch them back where they were worn.

The echoes of old scars still ring,
But I’ve learned how to soften the sting.
In every wound, a lesson lies,
A gift of strength beneath the skies.

The past may whisper in the night,
But I now hold it in the light.
No longer chained by what has been,
I free my heart from past’s old sin.

Each memory, though it may ache,
Is a bridge to help my spirit wake.
Through every storm, through every fall,
I rise again, I stand up tall.

The healing winds that gently blow
Sweep away the seeds of woe.
I plant new roots in soil so deep,
And in their shade, my soul will sleep.

For I am whole, not what’s behind,
The future waits with peace to find.
And in the quiet, I shall see
That healing starts with setting free.

Thank-you for reading.

Much love and Light,

Brenda Marie
