Poem: Grateful

Image by Kerstin Riemer from Pixabay

Grateful for the little things,
The morning sun as it softly sings,
A gentle breeze that stirs the trees,
A cup of tea, a moment’s peace.

The sound of rain upon the ground,
A quiet place where joy is found,
The smile of a friend, a touch, a laugh,
The warmth of love that fills our path.

The rustling leaves, the bird in flight,
The stars that glitter in the night,
The taste of sweetness on my tongue,
The simple songs that must be sung.

For all the small and tender ways
Life blesses us through all our days,
I give my thanks, my heart, my soul,
For in these moments, I feel whole.

Thank-you for reading.

Much Love and Light,

Brenda Marie
