
Guided Meditation: Healing the Root Chakra – “I Am Safe and Protected”
Welcome to this moment of stillness and healing. Find a comfortable position, either seated or lying down, and gently close your eyes. Allow yourself to take a deep, natural breath in… and out.
Breathe in deeply… and out.
As you settle into this space, bring your attention to your body and allow yourself to become fully present. Know that you are safe here, in this moment, with nothing to fear.
Connecting with the Root Chakra
The root chakra, located at the base of your spine, is your foundation. It connects you to feelings of safety, stability, and grounding. Imagine this energy center as a glowing red light, pulsing softly at the base of your spine.
Take a moment to visualize this red light. See it as a vibrant, warm energy that represents strength, protection, and connection to the Earth.
Breathe in, and visualize this red light growing brighter…
And breathe out, releasing any tension, fear, or worry.
With every breath, imagine this red light growing stronger, filling you with the knowing that you are safe and protected.
Affirmations to Anchor Your Safety
Now, as you continue to breathe deeply, repeat these affirmations silently to yourself or aloud if it feels good:
- “I am safe and protected.”
- “I am grounded, strong, and secure.”
- “The Earth supports me, and I trust in its stability.”
- “I release fear and embrace calm, confident energy.”
With each affirmation, feel the tension in your body begin to soften. Allow these words to sink deeply into your subconscious mind, anchoring you in a space of trust and peace.
Breathe in these affirmations… feel them fill your entire being.
Breathe out, letting go of worry and doubt.
Visualize Grounding Energy
Now, imagine roots extending from the base of your spine and your feet into the Earth below you. These roots are strong, resilient, and safe. They anchor you to the Earth, connecting you with its stability and support.
Picture these roots wrapping securely into the ground, pulling up nourishing, red, healing energy from the Earth. Feel this energy rising into your body, filling you with confidence, strength, and a deep sense of safety.
Breathe in this red healing energy…
Let it fill every part of you.
Know that you can return to this connection whenever you need to feel grounded, protected, and safe.
Closing the Meditation
As you bring your awareness back to the present moment, take a few more deep, grounding breaths. Feel your body supported by the surface beneath you, your energy balanced, and your mind at peace.
When you’re ready, gently wiggle your fingers and toes, bring the movement back into your body, and slowly open your eyes.
Know that you can return to this meditation anytime you need reassurance or grounding. You are safe. You are protected. You are whole.
Take a moment to thank yourself for taking this time to heal and reconnect.
