Poem: Life is Too Short

Life is too short, they often say,

To linger in shadows, to waste away.

The days slip by, like sand through hands,

Time is fleeting, like shifting sands.

Dreams that we chase, with all our might,
Can fade in the dark, or blaze in the light.
So why hold back, or hesitate?
The clock ticks on, it won’t wait.

The world is wide, with paths to tread,
So many stories still to be said.
Love while you can, laugh through the rain,
The beauty of now is worth the pain.

Life is too short, so don’t be afraid,
To seek new heights, or make your own way.
For in the end, what matters most,
Is living fully, not being a ghost.

Thank-you for reading.

Much love and light,

Brenda Marie
