Poem: Breaking Free

I stand at the edge of all I’ve known,
A place where the seeds of doubt have grown,
The chains of yesterday, so tight and long,
They pull me down, they silence my song.

But deep within, a spark ignites,
A flicker strong against the nights,
A whisper calls to break the bind,
To leave behind the weight, the grind.

The walls, they crumble, soft and slow,
As freedom rises, fierce and bold,
No longer bound by past mistakes,
I spread my wings, the world awaits.

I step beyond the fear, the pain,
And feel the sun begin to rain,
On open skies, on roads untold,
I break the chains, and seize my hold.

The past is gone, the future bright,
I claim my path, I claim my flight.
For in this moment, fierce and true,
I am the storm, I am the view.

Thank-you for reading.

Much Love and Light,

Brenda Marie
