Poem: Grounded in the Storm

Beneath the sky’s relentless roar,
The storm rages, fierce and raw.
Winds howl through the bending trees,
Whipping leaves in frantic pleas.

The earth trembles, but stands tall,
As rain, crashes, a steady fall.
Lightning splits the darkened night,
Flashes bright, then quiet’s bite.

Roots grip deep, though skies may tear,
In nature’s fury, none can spare.
The world may rage, the tempest scream,
But in the storm, we find our dream.

For even as the thunder cracks,
We’re grounded in the storm’s attack.
Each gust a challenge, sharp and bold,
But through the chaos, we take hold.

The storm will pass, as storms will do,
And in its wake, the earth is new.
Grounded firm, we face the gale,
For after night, the dawn will sail.

Thank-you for reading.

Much Love and Light,

Brenda Marie
