Poem: Winter Wonderland

In the hush of winter’s glow,
A dog bounds through the fresh-fallen snow.
Paws print patterns, light as air,
As frosty flakes swirl everywhere.

His coat a blanket, warm and bright,
As he leaps, a joyful sight.
Snowflakes dance upon his nose,
As he races where the cold wind blows.

Tail wagging, eyes aglow,
He tumbles through the white below,
Each snowball chase, each frosty leap,
A secret joy the world will keep.

The world is still, the earth asleep,
But in his heart, the magic’s deep.
A winter wonderland, so wide,
With a playful dog by winter’s side.

Thank-you for reading.

Much Love and Light,

Brenda Marie
