This poem is meant to offer comfort and space for healing, embracing the journey toward wholeness. I hope it speaks to that feeling of renewal. Does it resonate with you?

Soul’s Restoration
Breathe, dear heart, and let it be,
The pain, the weight, the mystery.
For time will wash, and wounds will mend,
The broken parts will rise again.
The tears you’ve shed, the scars you’ve worn,
They carve the path where light is born.
Each step you take, though slow and frail,
Brings you closer to your soul’s bright veil.
Rest now, sweet spirit, rest and heal,
The wounds you carry are part of the real.
For in the cracks, the light shines through,
A healing fire, a light anew.
The earth beneath, the sky above,
Will cradle you in tender love.
Each breath you take, a gentle sigh,
A moment’s peace, a reason why.
The darkness once so sharp and deep,
Is melting now, and you shall sleep.
Rest in trust, and let it go,
For in the quiet, you will know.
Your soul is whole, though bent and scarred,
A masterpiece that’s been afar.
It whispers now, soft, clear, and true,
You’ve always been enough, as you.
Thank-you for reading.
Much love and Light,
Brenda Marie Fluharty

Yes, we have scars. When a friend or loved one dies, I carry the memory of those people in my heart, like a Lakota shaman would carry his objects of power in a medicine bag.
