Poem: Last Chance

A final breath, a fleeting glance,
The quiet whisper of last chance.
The world stands still, a breath we take,
A moment’s choice, for love’s own sake.

The road ahead is dark and wide,
But in your eyes, I choose to hide.
One step, one word, one heart to give,
A chance to make this love still live.

No more delay, no time to waste,
In trembling hands, our hearts are placed.
A final plea, a silent prayer,
Do we dare risk what’s hanging there?

This last chance, a fragile thread,
A promise made, a vow we’ve said.
If we don’t act, if we let go,
The chance is lost, and we both know.

But in this moment, I hold tight,
To what could be, to what feels right.
A last chance, a love to find,
Forever etched, in heart and mind.

Thank-you for reading.

Much Love and light,

Brenda Marie
