Poem: Lost in Time

Lost in time, where moments fade,
A shifting veil, a silent trade.
The past slips through my open hands,
Like grains of sand, like shifting lands.

I search for traces, find no clue,
The clock keeps ticking, old yet new.
Each second pulls me far away,
To places where the shadows play.

The future waits, a distant light,
But I am caught in endless night.
Memories flicker, then they fall,
Whispers lost in time’s great hall.

Faces blur, and voices drown,
As seconds wear my heart’s crown.
The years unwind, a tangled thread,
Each one a step, each one unsaid.

Still, I wander, lost, yet free,
In time’s vast sea, a mystery.
For though I’m lost, I’ll always find
A part of me, within the wind.

Thank-you for reading.

Much Love and light,

Brenda Marie
