Guided Meditation: Awakening the Lightbody

Begin by finding a quiet space. Sit or lie down comfortably. Close your eyes. Take a deep breath in through your nose… and exhale slowly through your mouth. Allow your body to begin softening.

Let’s begin.

1. Grounding into the Earth

Bring your attention to the base of your spine.
Visualize a warm golden root extending from your tailbone deep into the Earth.
Feel it anchoring you—strong, steady, loving.
With every breath, allow yourself to settle deeper into this grounding energy.

Inhale… feel supported.
Exhale… feel safe.

Repeat gently in your mind:
“I am grounded. I am present. I am safe.”

2. Activating the Inner Light

Now bring your awareness to your heart center.
See a soft light—perhaps golden, white, or iridescent—beginning to glow there.
This is your inner flame, your divine essence.

With each inhale, see it expand.
With each exhale, feel it radiate.

This light is calm.
It’s timeless.
It’s you.

Say silently:
“I remember who I am. I am light.”

3. Expanding into the Lightbody

As your heart light grows, let it gently fill your entire chest…
Then your arms… your legs… your head.
Until you are completely surrounded in this luminous field.

Now, visualize yourself gently rising—floating above your physical body,
not leaving it behind, but expanding beyond it.
You are awareness now.
You are light.

This is your lightbody—an energy field of peace, wisdom, and higher connection.
Feel how weightless you are.
Feel how clear.
Feel how infinite.

Stay here for a few moments, breathing in this expanded state.
Let thoughts come and go. You are the space between them.

4. Receiving Guidance or Healing

If it feels right, invite any insight, image, or energy to come forward.
It might be your higher self, a guide, or simply a feeling.
There is nothing to force. Just allow.

Ask gently, “What do I need to receive now?”
And listen… not with ears, but with presence.
Let it unfold.

5. Returning with Integration

Now, slowly begin drawing your light inward again—
Back into your heart center,
like the setting sun resting just behind your ribs.

Feel your breath again.
Feel your body—your fingers, your toes.
You are back, and yet—expanded.

When you’re ready, say silently:
“I carry my light with me. I remember.”

Begin to gently open your eyes.

Take a moment to sit in stillness. You may wish to journal any sensations, images, or thoughts that arose.

Journaling Questions for Lightbody Meditation

  1. What sensations did I notice in my body during the meditation?
(Did you feel warmth, tingling, heaviness, or lightness anywhere?)

  2. What did my inner light look or feel like when I connected to it?
(Was it a color, a feeling, a sound, or something beyond words?)

  3. Did any images, symbols, or beings appear during the expanded state?
(Describe them without judgment. What might they represent to you?)

  4. What messages or impressions came through, even subtly?
(Was there a phrase, insight, or emotion that felt important?)

  5. How did I feel emotionally after connecting with my lightbody?
(Peaceful? Energized? Curious? Unsettled? All are valid.)

  6. What does my lightbody need from me right now?
(Listen inward. Is it more rest, attention, grounding, or spiritual practice?)

  7. How can I carry this light into my everyday life?
(What small, grounded action can align you more with your inner light?)

  8. Is there anything I am being called to release or transform?
(Use this space to acknowledge any stuck patterns or limiting beliefs.)

I hope you enjoyed this guided meditation.

Much Love and Light,

Brenda Marie
