At the edge of morning, soft and wide,
Where silence meets the turning tide,
I draw a line no storm can spin—
A vow is made: Only let Peace in.
No echoes from the days gone wild,
No voices that unkindly filed
Their wounds into my tender skin—
Are welcome here. Only let Peace in.
Not every knock deserves a door,
Not every ache must rise once more.
The past may beg with bitter grin—
But still I say: Only let Peace in.
Let sunlight pool in quiet rooms,
Let laughter rise and scatter gloom,
Let breath be deep, and thoughts begin
To bloom again—only let Peace in.
So when the world is loud and wide,
And fury seeks a place to hide,
I’ll hold my center, calm within,
My sacred space: Only let Peace in.
Thank-you for reading.
Much Love and Light,
Brenda Marie
