I walk through the halls where time once played,
Where shadows danced and light would fade.
The walls still hum with voices gone,
Yet I am left to wander on.
A laugh, a scent, a fleeting face—
They linger here in every place.
The past, though tucked in quiet dust,
Still stirs with every breath I trust.
A swing that creaked beneath the moon,
A song half-sung, a lost June noon.
The way the world felt wide and near,
When hearts were whole and skies were clear.
But time, that silent, sweeping tide,
Has pulled those days where dreams abide.
Still, in my mind, they rise again—
The faces, places, now and then.
And though the years may dim their glow,
They’re seeds beneath the winter snow.
For all that was and slipped away
Still, colors who I am today.
Thank-you for reading.
Much Love and Light,
Brenda Marie
